We are excited to announce “Yo! Records”, an independent record label based in Los Angeles. Our goal is to release music from up-and-coming Asian American artists and celebrate our unique community.

Yo!

About a year ago, I was asked by the “Yo! Magazine” staff to share my experience in Justin Jay’s music production bootcamp, which you can read about here. Over the following year, the bootcamp shifted from a 5 week course to a 6 month program, to cover everything one would need to know about the music industry. Through this bootcamp, I was given the opportunity to meet with artists, managers, distributors, mastering engineers, label owners, and party throwers to get their expert advice on how they made it in the industry. We were given all the tools to start record labels, manage artists, work with distributors, and produce music. Flashforward one year to the present, I pitched the idea of a record label to the “Yo! Magazine” staff and gathered a few of my music tastemaker friends to help me scout new talent and new music.

After a month of deliberation, we are excited to announce “Yo! Records”, an independent record label based in Los Angeles. Our goal is to release music from up-and-coming Asian American artists and celebrate our unique community.

Meet Our A&R Team:

“A sampling of some of the sounds and feels I've been indulging in over the past year. Most of these tracks either speak deeply to some part of my soul or make me want to boogie. Put it on shuffle and go where it takes you :)”

Eunice Kuo

“a lil indie / a lil groove / a lil rnb / a lil afterhours cruise / a lil find me on the dancefloor crying type vibe~”
